This is very minimal just now. In fact the only thing I have had time to put up is my vst Quadraphonic Decoder plugin.

It's a Pluggo plugin so you need to download the Pluggo Runtime stuff - don't worry, it's free. Here's my plugin:

Download Quadraphonic Decoder

You can run it as an Audio Unit if you use the Pluggo vst-AU converter, and then any of your old Columbia SQ or Sansui QS encoded quad recordings can be heard in true authentic Quad sound without having to track down an analogue hardware decoder on evilBay.

You can use your soundcard ins and outs to run the plugin in realtime or just record your records as stereo audio files and then play them back from Logic or whatever. You may need to bring the level down a bit by using the plugin controls.

Please note that this is a beta and needs tweaking so that the controls can be automated and so that presets can be saved... on the other hand, it is so simple that perhaps it doesn't need the extra effort.

Also please note: SQ and QS encoding was pretty lame compared to discrete 5.1 so don't expect mindblowing results. It's still quite nice to hear Morton Subotnik's quadraphonic records as intended though.
